Aquiles Machado - Rodolfo (July 14th, 26th,
29th, 31st August 4th, 9th )
After his successes gained in I Masnadieri in Naples, La Gioconda in
Palermo and Rome, La Forza del Destino at the Festival Verdi in
Parma, Ernani in Bilbao, Un Ballo in Maschera in
Liège and Simon Boccanegra in Berlin, Aquiles Machado recently
starred as Cavaradossi in Tosca in Leipzig, role he had sung with
huge success at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Beijing, Berlin (Deutsche Oper)
and Vienna (Wiener Staatsoper). Among his recent engagements it is worth mentioning:
Don José in Carmen in Las Palmas; Gabriele Adorno inSimon Boccanegra in
Zurich; Alfredo in La Traviata in Florence; Pinkerton in Madama
Butterfly at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago; Rodolfo in La
Bohème in Valencia, Riccardo Chailly conducting; Un Ballo in Maschera in
Las Palmas; Norma at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna; Il Trovatore at
the Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata; La Traviata at the
Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo and at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia
under Zubin Mehta; Roméo et Juliette in Liège; Don José in Carmen in
Bilbao; I Due Foscari in Toulouse. Aquiles Machado had performed
Verdi’s Requiem in Bologna then on tour in Moscow at the Rostropovich
Festival under Michele Mariotti and in Cincinnati and St. Luois under the baton
of Frühbeck de Burgos and again Verdian Gala at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
Future plans: Madama Butterfly in Vienna (Wiener Staatsoper); La
Bohème at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège; Tosca in Cagliari; a gala
Concert in Madrid.

7th)
Increasingly on demand at the international level, he is the interpreter of such
titles as: La Bohème (Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Palm Beach Lyric
Opera and in Hong Kong), Rigoletto (Teatro Massimo in Palermo),Madama
Butterfly(Florida Grand Opera in Miami), La Clemenza di Tito(Bergen), La
Traviata(Trieste and Malta), Nabucco (Venice, Genoa,
Cagliari and Sassari), Thaïsand Idomeneo at the Teatro
Regio in Turin; Macbeth (Macduff) in Sassari; I Capuleti e
i Montecchi at the Opera in Rome; and Der Rosenkavalier (Italian
Singer) in Barcelona and Madrid. Alessandro Liberatore recently performedLucia di
Lammermoor in Rovigo; Rigoletto at the Teatro Nacional
de Sao Carlos in Lisbon; La Traviata in Rouen; Nabucco and
a series of concerts at the Tiroler Festspiele in Erl, Gustav Kuhn conducting. Mr.
Liberatore has just made his exciting debut in Verdi’s Requiem in
Cagliari, at the Festival Anima Mundi in Pisa under Aldo Ceccato and in Toblach
under Andrea Battistoni and gained great success as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly in
Tampere; Lucio Silla (title role) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu
in Barcelona under Harry Bickett; Rota’s Mysterium at the Vatican
City and at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Lucia di Lammermoor in
Catania; Manon Lescaut at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Riccardo
Muti conducting; Missa Solemnis in Cagliari. His future projects
include: Massenet’s Manon at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie
in Liège; Nabucco in Nancy.

Mozart’s Mass in C minor KV 427 at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa
Cecilia in Rome with Nagano and in Cagliari; Bach’s Johannes-Passion with
Lopez-Banzo in Spain and Germany; Macbeth with Muti at the Salzburg
Festival, Rome and Chicago; Solbiati’s La Leggenda (world premiere)
