The young Italian soprano Federica Guida began her operatic career by
winning some of the most prestigious international competitions, including
As.Li.Co and the CLIP in Portofino. These achievements opened the doors to
a promising international career, leading her to perform on major stages
such as the Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, and Teatro Colón in
Buenos Aires.
She has worked with renowned conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, James
Conlon, Daniel Oren, Plácido Domingo, Gabriele Ferro, and Andrea
Battistoni.
In 2021, she made her debut at Teatro alla Scala in Milan as Despina in
Mozart’s Così fan tutte. She later sang Gilda in Rigoletto
at the Teatro Antico in Taormina alongside Leo Nucci, who also directed
the production, under the baton of Plácido Domingo.
She has performed Musetta in La Bohème at the Teatro Massimo in
Palermo, and reprised the role at the Puccini Festival, Teatro Regio di
Torino, and Oper Köln. Also at Teatro Massimo, she debuted as Leïla in
Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles, a role she also sang at Teatro
Colón in Buenos Aires.
Other notable appearances include Oscar in Un ballo in maschera
at Teatro alla Scala under the baton of Nicola Luisotti, Nannetta in Falstaff
at the Opéra de Paris, and Adina in L’elisir d’amore at
Teatro Regio di Torino.
She portrayed Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi in Damiano
Michieletto’s opera film.
Among her most recent engagements is her debut as Marguerite in Gounod’s
Faust at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, conducted by
Frédéric Chaslin.
