Worldwide appreciated the German baritone Detlef Roth is regular guest at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Opéra de Paris, Gran Teatre in Madrid, Contergebouw in Amsterdam, Staatsoper in Hamburg Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg, and Festivals in Aix-en-Provence and Salzburg. He has worked with several of the world's most important orchestras, alongside famed musicians, and under the baton of many top conductors such as L. Maazel, S. Rattle, A. Jordan, D. Gatti, K. Masur, K. Nagano, W. Sawallisch, G. Sinopoli, Ch. Thielemann, P. Steinberg und Jeffrey Tate. Mr Roth earned successes both in buffo and serious roles: it is the case of

Dulcamara in Elisir d'Amore and as Papageno in Die Zauberflöte in Paris, Rome and Frankfurt; more serious roles include Gunther in Gotterdammerung, Escamillo in Carmen, and Marcello in La Bohème, Wolfram in Wagner's Tannhauser, Tchaikovsky's Eugenin Onegin (title role) and Queen of Spades (Prince Eletski), Zar and Zimmerman (Czar Peter the Great). Also at home in the modern repertoire he earned rave reviews as Pentheus in Henze's Bassarids at the DNO in Amsterdam.

Detlef Roth had already sung Amfortas in Parsifal from 2008 to 2012 at the Bayreuth Festival and after that in Paris and Zurich. His language skills make him equally at ease singing in English, French, German, Italian, Latin, even Russian.

After Der Vampyr he performed in 2008, Mr. Roth returned to Bologna for the opening of the season and 100 year anniversary of the first Parsifal in Bologna.

Highlight of 2013 and 2014 seasons include:  Mahler 8th Symphony under Gustavo Dudamel at the Salzburg Festival; Lied von der Erde with the Essen Philharmonie; Beethoven’s Fidelio with the Deutschen Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under the baton of Paarvo Järvi in Bremen, Bonn and Tokio inculding a DVD Production; Elias at the Stuttgart Bach Academy; Brahms’ Requiem at the NDR Hamburg; Charles Ives’ Songs with the Tonhalle Orchestra in Zurich; a Wagner Gala in Moscow; a new production of Lohengrin (Heerrufer) at the Wiener Staatsoper;  Paulus at the Philharmonie in Berlin.

Anna Corvino attended the Scuola dell’Opera at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna where she made her debut as Magda in La Rondine under the baton of Jose Cura, Gilda in Rigoletto, Musetta in La Bohème and Adina in L'Elisir d'Amore, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. More recently, she participated in the production of Betulia Libera by Mozart, conducted by Riccardo Muti at the Ravenna Festival, she sang Nedda in Gianni Schicchi, Napoli Milionaria!  and Fauré's Requiem  in Cagliari; Mimì in La Bohème in Salerno; Monsieur Chouffleury in Jesi.

Active also on the concert side she has performed with the Orchestra Nazionale della RAI in Turin, the Nuova Scarlatti in Naples, the Kiev Orchestra, the Symphonette Raanana Orchestra in Israel and the Orchestra of the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago.
