Dario
Solari began his career at a very early age performing in important theaters all
around the world, such as: the Welsh National Opera (Il Trovatore, Pique Dame),
the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Carmen), the Opera in Rome (La
Traviata- a Franco Zeffirelli production), the Théâtre du Capitole de
Toulouse (La Bohème), the Vlamsee Opera in Antwerp (Don Carlo),
the Savonlinna Opera Festival (Lucia di Lammermoor), at the Teatro
Municipal in Santiago, Chile (Un Ballo in Maschera and Macbeth).
Among his recent engagements, it is worth mentioning: Don Carlo with
Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic; Conte di Luna in Il Trovatore in
Ravenna and then on tour in Italy, Cristina Mazzavillani Muti directing;
Macbeth for the opening night season at the Teatro dell' Opera in Rome under
the baton of Riccardo Muti; Le Nozze di Figaro in Cardiff; Attila
at the Terme di Caracalla in Rome; Belisario (title role) for the opening
night at the Bergamo Musica Festival. Dario Solari has just gained great success
for his interpretation of Macbeth at the opening night season at the Teatro
Comunale in Bologna.
His
upcoming engagements include:
Le Nozze di Figaro in Toulouse; Macbeth in Copenaghen and Chicago
under the baton of Riccardo Muti; Pagliacci at the Teatro Petruzzelli in
Bari under Paolo Carignani.

Paolo Olmi - conductor
Paolo Olmi studied under Massimo
Pradella and Franco Ferrara in Rome. Since
making his operatic debut in 1986 at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna he has
conducted in many of the major concert halls and opera throughout the world
including Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia. His huge
repertoire includes all the Verdi's operas and masterpieces by Rossini, Puccini,
Ponchielli, Giordano, Donizetti, Bellini, Mozart, Cilea, Gounod, Kurt Weil. He
teaches at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Highlights of his
recent performances are: La Gioconda at the Deutsche Oper Berlin;
Falstaff, Verdi's Jerusalem, Adriana Lecouvreur, Guillaume
Tell and a concert offered by the Television to the Queen of Holland
recorded by EMI Classic at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam; L'Elisir d'Amore,
Un Ballo in Maschera and L'Italiana in Algeri at the Opéra de
Bordeaux; Aida and Lucia di Lammermoor at the Savonlinna Opera
Festival; Madama Butterfly in Cesena; L'Italiana in Algeri in
Nancy and Bologna; Cavalleria Rusticana and Zanetto in Lecce; Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Jerusalem
and Ravenna, broadcast by the National Italian Television.
M° Olmi will conduct
La Traviata at the Savonlinna Opera Festival.
