Stage Door welcomes conductor Débora Waldman to its Roster
for Italian management

 

Born in Brazil and and growing up in Israel and Argentina,

Débora Waldman studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris.

From 2006 to 2009, she was worked as assistant conductor to Kurt Masur at the Orchestre National de France.

Since 2020, she has been Music Director of the Orchestre national Avignon-Provence,

becoming the first woman to lead a permanent French national orchestra.

She is also Associate Conductor at the Opéra de Dijon.

She appears regularly with major orchestras including the Orchestre National de Lyon, Strasbourg, Nice

and Monte-Carlo Philharmonics, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, as well as in leading opera houses.

Her debut recording with the Orchestre national d’Avignon-Provence, Charlotte Sohy, compositrice de la Belle Époque,

received multiple awards, including Diapason Découverte, Diamant Opéra Magazine, 5 étoiles Classica,

and a nomination at the International Classical Music Awards.
