Marianna Pizzolato - Mezzo
Marianna Pizzolato made her debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro with Il Viaggio a Reims, becoming a reference performer for the main Rossini roles, as well as for Baroque and eighteenth century’s repertoire; she is now considered one of the foremost voices of our time. Mrs Pizzolato sang in the most prestigious theaters in the world under conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Antonio Pappano, Alberto Zedda, Bruno Campanella and Daniele Gatti, just to name a few. Recent engagements include her debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai singing Verdi’s Requiem, for the opening concert of the season; Barbiere di Sivigliain Naples; Rota’s Mysterium in Rome and Naples; La Donna del Lago in Santa Fe; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Naples; La Cenerentola in Sevilla; Petite Messe Solennelle in Lucerne; Brahm’s Alto Rhapsody at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
Plans include: Maria Stuarda and Nabucco at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; La Cenerentola in Liège; L’Italiana in Algeri in Toulouse; Tancredi in Santiago de Chile; Il Viaggio a Reims in Bad Wildbad. After her successful return to Japan last March for a recital, she will back to Tokyo performing a solo concert in 2015, while in 2016 she will make her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

After his successes gained in I Masnadieri in Naples, La Gioconda in Palermo and Rome, La Forza del Destino at the Festival Verdi in Parma, Ernani in Bilbao, Un Ballo in Maschera in Liège and Simon Boccanegra in Berlin, Aquiles Machado recently starred as Cavaradossi in Tosca in Leipzig, role he had sung with huge success at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Beijing, Berlin (Deutsche Oper) and Vienna (Wiener Staatsoper). Among his recent engagements it is worth mentioning: Don José in Carmen in Las Palmas; Gabriele Adorno inSimon Boccanegra in Zurich; Alfredo in La Traviata in Florence; Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago; Rodolfo in La Bohème in Valencia, Riccardo Chailly conducting; Un Ballo in Maschera in Las Palmas; Norma at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna; Il Trovatore at the Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata; La Traviata at the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo and at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia under Zubin Mehta; Roméo et Juliette in Liège; Don José in Carmen in Bilbao; I Due Foscari in Toulouse. Aquiles Machado had performed Verdi’s Requiem in Bologna then on tour in Moscow at the Rostropovich Festival under Michele Mariotti and in Cincinnati and St. Luois under the baton of Frühbeck de Burgos and again Verdian Gala at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
Future plans: Madama Butterfly in Vienna (Wiener Staatsoper); La Bohème at Terme di Caracalla in Rome and at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.
